This home is very spacious and always clean this is our 2nd year staying there for scalloping season very easy access to the gulf about a 15 minute ride to the gulf Pool Docks and fire pit are all very well maintained

Great house in great location Saw manatee, dolphin, snook, blue crabs. House has everything you will need. Tubing on rainbow river was very relaxing. The heritage shops down the road were nice too. The only down side was the wifi is weak don’t expect to remotely work, its just too for off the beaten path, but you’re here to relax. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back

This is a large yet cozy home for a Florida vacation or family reunion. It is so spacious! We had ten people stay in all, ages 45, 39, 38, 37, 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, and 1.5. The home is very clean and the A/C works great. The game room with the basketball hoops and the foosball table were a big hit with the kids. We caught three crabs right off the dock! We also fished and caught catfish. Thanks for a great stay!

We came together as a family with our elderly parents The home was absolutely Immaculate the amenities that the owner had provided was well beyond our expectations. I have to say that this property Is the cleanest and well-maintained that we have used. I cannot say enough commendable things Towards the agency and the owner. Location and amenities were perfect! Loved the river, they kayaks, the pool, the game room, the workout room, and ALL of the options in the kitchen. It was set up as a home, not a rental!

Wonderful place tucked away with ALL the amenities of home plus more. The kitchen was stocked with all needs. The pool was pristine and fun! The river was perfect for relaxing on the kayaks or canoe! There was a screened in dock house that was perfect for morning coffee, dinners by the river, and family chats. The house had an awesome game room for the kids, a workout room for the adults, and a great sized laundry room with two dryers! The kitchen was labeled perfectly with so many options for cooking! We were able to make a double layered pan cake with homemade frosting! (Yep, they even had a mixer!) We only needed to bring the food! The bathrooms were even stocked well! If you want a home and retreat all in one, this is it! You could go to Crystal River (15-20min away) for a manatee tour or to Gainesville (about 45-60min away) for some fun shopping, but you don’t have to! You can watch the manatee float by the house in the Withlacoochee just steps away from the back door!

My family and I had a wonderful time. Host was very responsive to any questions. Loved the beautiful place. Would love to rent again! Everything was lovely. No complaints at all.

We wanted to go to Crystal River to swim with the Manatees, but love finding private homes to rent over a hotel. Tucked away next to the river, with a beautiful yard to play in! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! We loved the yard games, the pool and game room were huge hits for our kids. Our dogs LOVED the yard and enjoyed exploring every inch of it. Felt safe because it was all fenced. We didn't explore the back next to the river much, because we did see about a 5-6 foot alligator swim by one evening! And we had little dogs, we didn't want him coming too close! Downtown Crystal River was about 10 minutes from us, with restaurants and manatee/kayak/snorkeling tours. We hope to try and return next year! Thank you for hosting us for an absolutely wonderful stay!!

We’ve rented this house twice now and it’s perfect for our large family. Everyone has a bed with extra to spare, great for entertaining and games. The couches are awesome as well. Will rent again in the future.

Pictures do not do the accommodations and amenities justice. Wish we booked for a longer stay! Remote enough to feel disconnected from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to stores if we needed anything. Plentiful of amenities. Very thoughtful touches that went the extra mile to make it one of the best vacations. Thank you and hope to be back soon!

Rented this property to visit with family who live in the area. The house was exactly as described and was warm and inviting. We utilized the pool as well as the screen house and kayaks. It was a lovely place to stay and was very well appointed with thoughtful touches. Would stay here again

We had an amazing time we celebrated my husbands 50th and my grandson 6th birthday at the river house I read in previous reviews that owner did decorate a small bit for a celebration of some sort so I kind of thought maybe there’d be a happy birthday banner or something of sorts but there wasn’t so…..I chalk that up to miscommunication on my part….there is definitely enough space we were a group of 9 and private space was not an issue at all…we definitely felt like we were glamping in Flordia with daily visits from a alligator , small one….also we saw one manatee swim towards the gulf that was awesome Stacey was very responsive with every text!!!! Great week!!!!

This was perfect house for scalloping very clean very organized and had even had a game room that the kids loved and it was only about a 15 minute ride to the gulf we already booked this place for next year

I was so impressed with this property! I visited with my family and a friend’s family. Joe and Stacey had everything we possibly could have needed. The kids enjoyed the bunk room, and there were games and toys to entertain all ages. I loved the gazebo, where I could hang out with my toddler and have her contained while still enjoying the beautiful surroundings and spitting wildlife. We saw manatees, gators, and some interesting big fish!

We loved all the amenities at this house. There were so many things to do at the house that our grandkids didn’t want to leave. A great gathering place for our family.

Our family (12 total) vacations every summer together. Ages 8-71 This house is amazing. Best beds ever & we have stayed at many VRBO houses. Lots of cooking utensils, pots/pans, dishes, anything you could need. Very, very clean!! Seen lots of alligators, manatee, dolphins & mullets in the river. Pool was great also, we all enjoyed it. No complaints at all about this rental. Very close to anything you could possibly want to do in Crystal River. Our family would love to come back & stay again, if it comes back on the market to rent. This house was perfect for our 2 week stay!! Thanks again for having us & sharing your amazing home with us. We will definitely be back to Crystal River again.

Amazing property... just what we needed to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Upon entering the home we were greeted with beautiful rose's and a happy anniversary sign from Stacy. She goes the extra mile to welcome you into their beautiful home. I totally understand why they are removing their property in September. I would Love to live there year round. Thanks again!

We had a beautiful time making memories at River House. We actually cried when we left. We are fussy people and EVERYTHING was perfect. The owners Stacey and Joe are lovely, genuine, caring people.

I can't speak highly enough of the owners and the property. The owners answered any questions right away and were always there to help if needed. The property is amazing. It is super clean and plenty of space. The open floor plan was great for hanging out and playing games. The kids' room had plenty of games and lots of beds. At night we never even saw them because they were having so much fun in there. It was right on the water with kayaks and canoes for everyone to enjoy. We saw lots of wildlife and plenty of mullet jumping right in front of the outside screened in porch. The pool was nice and warm, and the kids enjoyed playing in it every day. If you are looking for the perfect place to relax that has plenty to do for adults and kids, then this is the place. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing place. Great place for kids with a game room, heated pool and wonderful yard for them to play in. The adults were able to relax in the screened in lanai that overlooked the River and watch manatee swim by. We fished, had fires outside, kayaked and played all kind of outdoor games. We cannot wait to go back

Home was clean, updated and in a great, quiet location. From fishing and kayaking out back to exploring the surrounding area this home checked a lot of boxes. Even saw a manatee swimming by. Kids loved the game room. Pool was heated. Comfy beds. Grilling out and eating on the screened-in gazebo overlooking the water was a favorite pastime. Would we go back? Yes!

Amazing, everything was really amazing. Definitely a super super host. Will recommend to all friends and family and when we come back definitely will stay again here. Awesome place and hosts.

Our family decided to do a manatee trip for Thanksgiving and was looking for a place in Crystal Springs. When we came across this place I thought it was too good to be true. After arriving we couldn’t have been more pleased! We have a good range from teens to kids along with different ages of adults and this place did not disappoint! There was something to do for everyone! The property was clean and the owners were wonderful getting back to us with any questions we had! I am sure we will be coming back here in the future!! The Gaeta’s have something truly special set up at the Riverhouse. Their home perfectly accommodated our big family (including infants and toddlers). They even had enough supplies to make having our early Thanksgiving dinner a breeze in their well stocked kitchen. Hands down our favorite amenities were the kayaks, canoe, heated pool, and fireplace. Our family has already started talking about staying here again next year!

This place is absolutely amazing! Joe and Stacey did not disappoint with their beautiful home. They have everything onsite that you could possibly think of! We fished, we swam, we fished more, we played games in the game room and bathed by the river. They have everything available at your fingertips, including s’mores, q-tips, shampoo and conditioner! We cannot say one negative thing about this home as it’s been the best we’ve stayed in and we plan on making this our family retreat to escape and unwind. Joe and Stacey, we honestly can’t thank you enough for opening your home to us! You have a truly beautiful home!

The house and the property were wonderful- nestled in a corner of the world where there were no sounds other than nature. We enjoyed the pool and the river and all of the special touches provided.

Celebrated my sons 30th birthday and we had a blast. Lots of fishing, swimming and fun. There is nothing this house does not have that you might need. The house is awesome! Had a great stay!

The house had everything you need for a great vacation. Family of 9 had plenty of room, towels, beds, blankets, dishware, fun and memories. Pool was a great added bonus and the river leads right out to the gulf.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! House was very clean and well stocked! Beds were very comfortable. Kids loved the game room! Wi-fi was definitely slow but this was communicated in the description of the property. We were able to keep 2 boats docked at the house and went scalloping every day which was about an hour boat ride away. We saw a couple of gators too! Definitely bring the bug spray- the no see ums were bad around sunset! Overall great vacation and lovely hosts!

Everything here was nice and done well. Very well thought out and a great place to stay. Plenty of space to stretch out, and everything was in good order. Kayaks and canoes were a blast, dock was very adequate for the two boats we brought! Thanks so much for a great house!

The WRH is a well equipped and thoughtfully put together vacation home. Our family gathering ranged from 10- 70 yrs, plus a couple of pups. Plenty of places to gather or to separate when needed :) Very conducive to plenty of playtime and relaxation !!

What a great family get away. The river house is close to town but yet secluded enough to enjoy nature. We saw Deer, Turkey, Alligator and a Coyote. The owl visited us each night at our bonfire. Joe and Stacey are just awesome hosts. Our family comes to Crystal River 2 or 3 times a year and first time with this house but not the last - can't think of ANYTHING this house was missing - kids played in the Bunk Room or were out at the bonfire and exhausted each night! Scalloping was also a success this year. 5* ALL THE WAY!

This property was perfect for us. Besides being decorated beautifully, it was supplied with everything needed for large groups, from charcuterie boards to first aide kit. The location was in a gorgeous neighborhood with a lot of animal, manatees,alligators, otters, birds, and tons of deer. Location made it easy to the boat ramps for scalloping and fishing, tubing down rainbow springs area and shopping. I would highly recommend this place and it’s spectacular owners!!

Joe and Stacy made us feel welcome at home here. We were so impressed with all of the tiny details! We enjoyed the kayaks and alligators, the kids enjoyed the pool and our large group of 14 had a great time enjoying this home and all that Crystal River had to offer.

This is truly a 5 star vacation stay. There was not thing I would change. The place had everything thing you could think of, dog toys, candy jar, wine and coffee bar, two types of grills and so much more! With 15 staying the night at some point, we had plenty of room and beds. The location was perfect, so peaceful and beautiful. We will return next year!

Beautiful property with everything you need to entertain and make yourself feel at home. The house was packed with everything we could possibly need from cooking utensils, games, towels, and boats! The back boathouse and kayaks were a highlight for everyone. Joe and Stacey were incredibly responsive and even offered to ship back an item we inadvertently left behind. 5 stars!

The ease in renting this property from Joe & Stacey was amazing. Check in was a breeze. The home and property was so clean and welcoming. We had a party of 8 and there was plenty of room for us. Plenty of bedding provided as well as books, toys and games. If you have a dog, there are toys for him/her as well. A couple of us took the provided kayaks down the canal. We saw manatees, gators and black racer snakes (thankfully, they weren’t water moccasins). The pool was very clean and includes some flotation devices. I would recommend checking the kitchen inventory prior to venturing to the store. Some pantry items are stocked. It’s not too far from Tampa (we ventured to Busch Gardens one day). It would be a little further to travel to Orlando, but definitely doable. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay here was amazing! The amount of natural wildlife viewable here was incredible…hawks, otters, mullet, owls, alligators, and our daily favorite manatees! Joe and Stacey did such a good job making our stay enjoyable and their attention to detail was very much appreciated! Absolutely looking forward to coming back!

The hosts went way above and beyond our expectations for the river house. They absolutely thought of everything and more. The house was very neat and clean and was stocked with everything you could want. They were also very quick to respond if we had any questions. The green then gazebo outback was amazing and we love sitting on the dock watching the mullet fish jump out of the water and splashing around. We also got to see some manatees swimming by. It was just so peaceful and relaxing and we all hated to leave this wonderful place.

The location and house was perfect. None of us wanted our week to end. I can’t say enough about our hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. the house was well stocked. We couldn’t believe all the stuff they had for us to use. Highly recommend this house.

It was so absolutely perfect every little detail makes this place feel like your own home. The quietness, the back to nature sounds and the ability to sit and watch the river go by with an occasional manatee was sensational. I have rented lots of homes and this was by far the very best. Their home was clean and had some very personal touches no other home has ever had. I think Joe and Stacey are very kind and friendly caring people. They only want you to love your stay as much as they love their home and we truly loved this place.

We have rented many VRBO's over the last 25+ years and this by far was outfitted the best! Everything was thought of for our comfort and relaxation. The pool was great and was heated to 87 as promised in the listing. We did see one manatee but is was really warm for this time of year and imagine they were in the gulf. Joe and Stacey were very responsive and provided recommendations for our stay and Joe did a great job running through all the nuances of the home. We used the kayaks, canoe, fire pit and cornhole which were all splendid! The trip to the dam is nice and not too far for us geriatric kayakers. Crystal River offers great places to visit and eat as well as Homassasa State Park and Freezers was a great place to eat. We hope to be back in the area in years to come. To say that the owners thought of everything would be a vast understatement. From the time we arrived until the time we left, everything was prefect. Fishing, Wildlife, Swimming etc, its all here! We had a group of 14 ranging from 4 years old to 42 years old. Perfect for the entire family. We would love to come back!!!!!

We loved this secluded riverfront home. Fully fenced for our dog, dock for our boat, screened porch overlooking the water, and a heated pool. The home is very comfortable and spacious. Lots of extras provided by the owners. 10-15 minutes from town where there are lots of nice shops and restaurants. We saw hundreds of manatees in the springs and even swam with them!! Owners are very responsive and friendly.

Our stay was fantastic! Large house on the river with kayaks and canoe, at least 3 televisions, pool, screened room over river, fire pit, huge yard. Internet reception was a little spotty, but just made you get off the laptop and enjoy the surrounding. House FULLY furnished, and owners very helpful. will return for sure!

We have a total of 13 in our family and we all voted this was an awesome place for us to getaway, have fun and relax. We would definitely like to come back and stay longer next visit. The property is huge, it was a plus having it fenced in for our grandkids and dogs they had a blast! We were especially excited to see it decorated for Christmas, we took many pictures to show everyone where we stayed. Thank you, Thank you for a great Christmas vacation!

We truly had an amazing time at the WRH! 3 generations together just unplugging from the hustle and bustle of daily life enjoying each-other, the beautiful property with so many great amenities, and the spacious home with wonderful decor and sweet touches and details! You cant help but to relax and find some inner peace! We only ventured out 1 out of 4 days bc the property and house are simply that awesome - we wanted to take advantage of every minute being in such a unique untouched area of Florida ! We saw a deer, river otter, kids explored and found snake shedddings, kayaked, canoed, built fires, played board games, did puzzles, and made beautiful memories from ages 6-84! Thank you for sharing your home with us and we hope to be back again ! The ranch style one level made it especially easy for the elderly to enjoy the property and home .

We have been VRBOing for 3 years, this is by far the best stay yet. Everything is provided, no need to bring anything except your personal items. It is secluded but also convenient to shopping and restaurants. Lots of wildlife viewing across the river and super peaceful.

House was nice but this property does not allow you to keep your boat in the water as the pictures describe. Water flows way too hard. Scallop grounds are over a hour away by boat. Besides that the house was clean and well maintained.

Everything about this rental home was amazing. The owners are easily accessible, the home is better than advertised (spotless, fully stocked kitchen and everything is labeled). From the moment we opened the door to see a sign welcoming our family, we knew we picked the right home to vacation in. Our entire family wanted to move in and never leave. We brought 2 boats including a 26' boat that we kept at the dock. Boat ramp was 6 minutes away and navigation to the home was simple. The barge canal is deep and wide and it takes about 15 minutes to get to the gulf. Our family uses VRBO often and we all agree this is the best home we've stayed in so far

We had an amazing time. The house was much bigger in person than the pictures. We had plenty of Spence for our family of 12. It was so peaceful. The game room for the kids was amazing to keep them occupied! The beds were super comfy!!!!

The host have thought of everything. Extra towels, plenty of seating, washing machine, and two dryers. There is a separate freezer as well, two mini refrigerator's. There was no over crowding in the kitchen, or in the living spaces. Joe and Stacey are amazing host, and have thought of everything with this home. The decor was amazing, everyone got to see wild life on the property everyday, even an otter came up on the bank of the river while we were outside.Stayed 7 nights in Jul 2021

We loved the attention to detail and everything the home had to offer. It had plenty of activities for the kids and lots of space for the families. Only downfall was the dam was open so we didn't feel comfortable leaving our boat tied to the dock, but there were plenty of nearby boat ramps to drop out boat in. I would highly recommend this place for your next stay.

This property was nothing short of amazing! So clean and beautifully decorated. Everything was so thoughtful. The game room and other activities were a great bonus as well. Communication from Joe and Stacy was quick and courteous. I can’t wait to go back!!

Our family of 10 had an awesome time on the river! This house has so much and a is a great spot for kids….it is also very clean! The only issue we had (small) was the tv and internet, as the service is not very reliable in the area. However, this wasn’t a huge deal. We had awesome communication with ownership and enjoyed our time. We would certainly go back!!

This is the most perfect vacation spot. We were a large group. 8 adults and 7 children. We had plenty of room in the house. Our favorite spot was by the river. To be able to be so close to the manatees was amazing. The kids loved seeing all of the wildlife. The property is immaculate. Joe and Stacey were so great to work with. They responded very quick to all of my messages. We would love to have another vacation here!
